Terms of Service, version 1.9
Version 1.9 of 18 October 2026
We added the description of the “Community” feature.
§1. Definitions
- Service Provider: LowekStudio Krystian Rygiel, Polish tax ID (NIP) 9512469584, operating under the PetsyPlanet brand
- App, the PetsyPlanet mobile application available on iOS and Android
- User, an individual using the App who is at least 16 years old
- Account, the User's individual account within the App
- Content: all data entered by the User into the App
§2. General provisions
By using the App you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the App.
The App helps carers with everyday pet care and documenting pet health. Information and summaries are supporting tools. PetsyPlanet does not replace veterinary consultation.
2.1. What the App does
- Your pet’s records let you log vaccinations, parasite protection, medication, visits, planned appointments and weight, as well as feeding and walks. The person entering data is responsible for its accuracy, including doses, dates and settings. Agree treatment with your vet.
- The breathing counter converts breaths you mark manually into breaths per minute and displays measurement history. It does not automatically measure breathing, diagnose disease or confirm that a pet is healthy. You enter the vet’s threshold and instructions yourself. Do not wait for an App message if your pet needs help.
- Reminders depend on the data you enter, permissions, phone settings, network access and the operating system. They may arrive late or fail to arrive. Do not rely on them as the only way to track medication or appointments.
- You can use some features as a guest. Pet records are then stored locally on your device, without a cloud backup. Removing the App or its data, or losing the phone, may cause these records to be lost. An Account enables synchronisation; changes made offline need to synchronise later.
- When signed in, you can generate a pet health report as a PDF. It presents recorded data and is not a document issued by a vet. A vet invitation lets a person with the link complete the specified visit record. It does not book an appointment or provide a veterinary consultation through PetsyPlanet.
2.2. Sharing and QR tags
- You can invite someone to view or edit records for one or all of your pets. The recipient uses their own Account. Choose the scope and role carefully; the owner can change permissions or revoke access.
- An active QR tag opens a page accessible to anyone with the link or code. You choose which fields are visible in the tag settings. Do not enter information you do not want finders to see. You can disable the tag or change its link, invalidating the previous code.
- A missing-pet listing may expose the contact details and location you provide. Check them before publishing. Tags, sightings and listings do not guarantee recovery and do not replace contacting the appropriate services.
§3. Registration and account
Full use of the App requires an Account. Users:
- Must provide accurate information during registration
- Are responsible for the security of their login credentials
- Must notify the Service Provider immediately of any unauthorised access to their Account
- May not share their Account with third parties (sharing is handled via the invitation mechanism)
§4. Free of charge and partner content
The app is free to use and requires no fees or subscriptions. We fund the service through the partner content described below.
We display partner content in the app, banners and offers from pet shops and services. Such content is labelled as sponsored. We count its impressions and clicks in order to settle accounts with the partner; we do not share your personal data or your pet’s data with partners.
Notifications include independent categories:
- Health and care reminders, including medication, vaccinations, parasite protection, walks and breathing measurements. You configure them in the App.
- Partner notifications. Sent only after separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Notifications. Withdrawing it does not turn off health reminders.
- “Messages from PetsyPlanet”: tips, news and information about our animal-help campaigns, sent by email and as push notifications. Sent only with your consent, which we ask for after your first sign-in and which you can change in Settings. Every such email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Feeding notifications: a reminder about your pet's meal and a message that a co-carer has just fed them, so the pet is not fed twice. Sent only when you have feeding turned on.
- Community notifications, when the feature is available: a reply to your question or your answer being marked helpful. You can turn these off separately in Settings → Notifications.
We send “Messages from PetsyPlanet” push notifications no more than 2 times within 30 days, and partner notifications no more than once every 7 days per device. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately and requires no contact with us.
Regardless of marketing consents, we send service messages, meaning information about security, changes to the Terms or the Privacy Policy and matters concerning your Account. They contain no advertising.
§5. Feeding and the food catalogue
The feeding feature suggests portions, a meal layout and daily calorie needs. Everything it shows is a suggestion for information only. The App calculates it automatically from the data it has: the pet's latest weight, age and species, and the food's calorie content. It is not nutritional or veterinary advice and does not take the health of a particular animal into account.
You decide what and how much your pet eats. In case of illness, pregnancy, nursing, overweight, underweight, a veterinary diet or any doubt, consult your vet about feeding. Watch your pet and weigh it regularly, and when its weight or condition changes, adjust portions regardless of the App's suggestions.
Food catalogue:
- Food data (calorie content, type, packaging, pack size, life stage) comes from publicly available manufacturer and online shop websites. It may contain errors or become outdated, e.g. after a recipe change. The information on the food packaging prevails. Please report errors to hi@petsyplanet.pl.
- When the label gives no calorie content, the App estimates it from the analytical constituents. Such a result is an approximation.
- Food names and trademarks belong to their owners. A food's presence in the catalogue or its position on the list does not mean a recommendation, a quality assessment or a partnership with the manufacturer. Sponsored content is labelled as described in §4.
- When you add your own food, you are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. You also agree that, after review, we may make its data (brand, name, type, packaging, calorie content and composition) available to other Users in the catalogue. None of your personal data or your pet's data goes into the catalogue.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for the consequences of feeding a pet according to the App's suggestions, including underfeeding, overfeeding, weight changes and health problems, or for errors in food data provided by manufacturers, shops or other Users.
§6. Community
6.1. What the Community is
When available in the App, Community lets users ask and answer pet-care questions, with separate spaces by species and breed. A question may have one photo. The feature may be temporarily disabled. Community content is not published on the website or in search engines.
To post, you must accept the Community rules, confirm that you are at least 16 years old and choose a name visible to others. Each post shows that name and a pet badge: the pet’s name, breed and age in years at the time of posting. Questions can be asked anonymously. Other Users then do not see the author, but the moderation team does.
6.2. Content rules
You may not post content that:
- insults, ridicules, harasses or threatens others, or contains profanity or hate speech,
- is advertising, spam or an offer of sale, including of animals, without our consent,
- discloses other people’s personal data, such as an address, phone number, surname or someone else’s photo without consent,
- contains advice that may harm an animal’s health, in particular medication doses for someone else’s animal without consulting a veterinarian,
- depicts or glorifies cruelty to animals,
- is sexual in nature, and in particular depicts child sexual abuse,
- is terrorist content or otherwise illegal,
- impersonates another person or a veterinarian.
6.3. Health advice
Answers in the Community are other owners’ experience, not veterinary advice. They do not replace an examination. If your animal shows signs of an emergency, such as difficulty breathing, seizures, poisoning or heavy bleeding, contact a veterinarian immediately.
We grant the veterinarian badge manually after checking the licence number in the register of the Polish National Veterinary Chamber. The badge does not mean that an answer is advice given after examining your animal.
6.4. Rights to content
You keep the rights to your questions, answers and photos. By posting them, you grant the Service Provider a free, non-exclusive licence to store them and display them to other Users in the App for as long as the content is published. You confirm that you have the right to the photo you post.
You can delete your post at any time. If a question has answers from other people, its title remains and we delete its text and photo. When you delete your account, we delete your answers, and your questions lose their text, photo and link to you.
6.5. Moderation and automated tools
We review posts in three ways:
- An automated word filter holds posts with profanity, insults or advertising for human review.
- Photos from new members wait for review before publication.
- When this feature is enabled, a moderation model by OpenAI assesses the text and photo. A post with content that threatens others or is illegal is hidden automatically, and a doubtful one waits for a human decision.
Automated tools never delete a post permanently and never block anyone from posting. A human approves every final decision to remove a post and every block. New members have limits: 3 questions and 20 answers per day and no links during the first 7 days. After 7 days and 3 posts without violations, the limits increase.
6.6. Reporting content
You can report any post in the App with the “Report” button and a reason. People outside the App, including authorities and those reporting illegal content, can report it to hi@petsyplanet.pl. A report should include:
- an explanation of why the content is illegal or breaches these Terms,
- an indication of the content, such as the question title, the author’s name and date, or a screenshot,
- the reporter’s name and email address, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse,
- a statement that the reporter believes in good faith that the information in the report is accurate and complete.
We confirm reports made in the App immediately. We answer reports sent by email by email: we confirm receipt and tell you our decision, including whether automated means were used in handling the report. A post reported by at least 3 different people is hidden until a human reviews it. We may disregard reports repeatedly made in bad faith.
6.7. Decisions, statement of reasons and appeal
If we hold, hide or remove your post or restrict your ability to post, the App shows you a statement of reasons: what we did, why, on what basis, whether the content was detected by an automated tool and whether such a tool made the decision.
You can appeal any decision within 6 months by writing to hi@petsyplanet.pl. The appeal is reviewed by a human, where possible not the one who made the original decision. We reply without undue delay. You can also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act, or go to court.
From 6 November 2026 you can also lodge a complaint about an infringement of the Digital Services Act with the President of the Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) as the Digital Services Coordinator.
6.8. Posting restrictions
For repeated or serious violations we may block your ability to post in the Community for 7 days, 30 days or permanently. Before a block we usually hide individual posts first. We give a statement of reasons for every block. A blocked person can still read the Community and use other App features.
Every User can also block another person and then no longer sees their posts. Blocking is one-sided and the other person is not notified.
6.9. Illegal content and cooperation with authorities
Upon an order from an authority or court, we remove content or provide information to the extent required by law. We remove terrorist content within one hour of receiving a removal order under Regulation (EU) 2021/784.
We secure material depicting child sexual abuse, hide it immediately and report it to Dyżurnet.pl and law enforcement. If content indicates a threat to a person’s life or safety, we notify the Police without delay.
6.10. Point of contact
The point of contact for authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, and for Users, within the meaning of Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), is hi@petsyplanet.pl. You can contact us in Polish or English.
§7. AI document reading
- If the feature is available in your App, you can scan with the camera, choose from your gallery or import as a PDF a document from your vet, and the App will suggest entries for the pet's records based on it: the visit, vaccinations, medications, parasite protection and weight. The feature is optional and requires consent given before the first scan. It is available to Users with an Account who own the pet or have edit access to its records.
- The document is read by an artificial intelligence model of an external provider. The result is a suggestion to check, not a finished entry. AI can make mistakes: before saving you review each suggestion and decide which to add. The person who approved the saved entries is responsible for them, just as for entries added manually.
- The limit is 10 pages per calendar month per Account, up to 5 pages in one document. The limit renews on the first day of each month.
- Document reading does not replace veterinary records. Keep the original document and, if in doubt about its content, contact your vet.
- The feature may be temporarily unavailable. How data is processed, including transfers outside the European Economic Area, is described in the Privacy Policy.
§8. Completing a visit
- If the feature is available in your App, after a planned visit the App asks how you want to complete it: by scanning a document from your vet, manually, by asking your vet to complete it, or just by marking that the visit took place. Each option is voluntary and you can skip it.
- When adding a visit, you choose whether it has already taken place or is planned. A visit that has not happened yet cannot be saved as completed.
- The reminder to complete a visit is informational. The App schedules it on your phone and you can turn it off in notification settings.
- Entries created when completing a visit are your notes. They do not replace records kept by your vet or the vet's advice. You are responsible for entries matching the document; the App only helps you enter them.
§9. User data
Users retain full ownership of all Content entered into the App. The Service Provider makes no claim to ownership of user data.
Users warrant that they have the right to enter data about other individuals (e.g. a co-owner) and have obtained their consent.
§10. Prohibited activities
Users must not:
- Share the App or its data with individuals who have not consented
- Use the App for commercial purposes without the Service Provider's consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Enter false or misleading data
- Infringe the rights of other users or third parties
§11. Service availability
We work to keep the App functioning properly. Availability may be limited by maintenance, outages, network access or device settings. Report problems to hi@petsyplanet.pl. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
§12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for:
- Health decisions made based on information from the App
- The consequences of feeding a pet according to the App's suggestions, and errors in the food catalogue data (see §5)
- Losses arising from delayed reminders (e.g. system notification failures)
- Data loss caused by the User's own actions or device failures
- Third-party content accessible via links in the App
These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded, or statutory consumer rights.
§13. Termination
Users may at any time:
- Request account deletion in the App settings. The effects on Community content are described in §6; the Privacy Policy explains data deletion and exceptions.
- Before deleting your Account, generate a pet health report as a PDF. You can request a copy of your personal data at hi@petsyplanet.pl; a PDF report does not replace exercising this right.
§14. Changes to the Terms
We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, by email or in-app notification.
§15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights, including protection under the law of the consumer’s habitual residence where applicable. This does not restrict the right to bring claims before a competent court. Information on alternative consumer dispute resolution and competent bodies is available in the European Commission’s Consumer Redress in the EU portal: consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. This information portal is not the former ODR complaints platform.
