§1. Definitions
- Service Provider
- App, the PetsyPlanet mobile application available on iOS and Android
- User, an individual using the App who is at least 18 years old
- Account, the User's individual account within the App
- Content: all data entered by the User into the App
§2. General provisions
By using the App you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the App.
The App is intended solely for the personal use of pet owners. PetsyPlanet is a tool to assist with documenting pet health and does not replace veterinary consultation.
§3. Registration and account
Full use of the App requires an Account. Users:
- Must provide accurate information during registration
- Are responsible for the security of their login credentials
- Must notify the Service Provider immediately of any unauthorised access to their Account
- May not share their Account with third parties (sharing is handled via the invitation mechanism)
§4. Free of charge and partner content
The app is free to use and requires no fees or subscriptions. We fund the service through the partner content described below.
We display partner content in the app, banners and offers from pet shops and services. Such content is labelled as sponsored. We count its impressions and clicks in order to settle accounts with the partner; we do not share your personal data or your pet’s data with partners.
Push notifications fall into two independent categories:
- Health reminders (medication, vaccinations, parasite treatment, walks): sent only when you enable and schedule them yourself.
- Partner notifications. Sent only after separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Notifications. Withdrawing it does not turn off health reminders.
We send partner notifications no more than once every seven days per device. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately and requires no contact with us.
§5. User data
Users retain full ownership of all Content entered into the App. The Service Provider makes no claim to ownership of user data.
Users warrant that they have the right to enter data about other individuals (e.g. a co-owner) and have obtained their consent.
§6. Prohibited activities
Users must not:
- Share the App or its data with individuals who have not consented
- Use the App for commercial purposes without the Service Provider's consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Enter false or misleading data
- Infringe the rights of other users or third parties
§7. Service availability
The Service Provider aims to maintain App availability of 99.5% per month, excluding planned maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and accept no liability for technical outages.
§8. Limitation of liability
The Service Provider is not liable for:
- Health decisions made based on information from the App
- Losses arising from delayed reminders (e.g. system notification failures)
- Data loss caused by the User's own actions or device failures
- Third-party content accessible via links in the App
§9. Termination
Users may at any time:
- Delete their account in the App settings (all data will be deleted within 30 days)
- Download a copy of their data (JSON/CSV export) before account deletion
§10. Changes to the Terms
We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, by email or in-app notification.
§11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Consumer users in the EU retain all rights granted by EU consumer protection law. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
